"A band that defies their youth" "Fearsome sets of straight forward thrash" "Impressive and energetic" Hello and welcome! We are a heavy metal band shredding from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Firstly, our name comes from the Latin language, meaning, "Gift From God". As Latin is quite the tongue twister, the pronunciation of our name is as follows (Doh-numb Die). Our music is heavy, hard hitting metal with the influences of hardcore punk, classic metal and modern styled metal. We just dropped our debut EP "Justice Fails" in August 2015. We're currently recording our debut album, due for release early 2017. "A band that defies their youth" PlanetMosh review All Rights Reserved Donum Dei started in November 2011, with brothers Thomas and Alastair Marshall setting out with the desire to write heavy metal music and to have a great time doing so. Seeking two more members to complete the line up we came across Stuart Mcloughlin on a local musicians website who was looking to join an established band. The three of them hit it off right from the start and from the that first time we set foot into a rehearsal with him, the rest is history! With stuarts ability we knew we had to have him onboard! After a few try-outs on bass and focusing on a member who would lift the performance and energy within the band we came across Neil Toal, we felt like we knew Neil our whole lives and alas, the line-up was complete! We are a band that has extreme amounts of energy and a professional attitude that comes with it. Since starting in November 2011, they have gained high recognition within their local scene and a growing audience that fuels their appetite to satisfy their audience. Playing some of Belfast prestigious venues, such as, The LimeLight, both headlining the venue and supporting thrash titans Onslaught in July 2014. We are currently recording our debut album which is due for release early 2017. We have tours booked for the U.K. in December 2016 and February 2017. Our goal is to play festivals and tour, spreading our disease wherever we can.
