About The Flame
There are three artists with this name:
(1) The Flame were a South African soul-rock band with a heavy Beatles influence in the early 1970s, based around drummer Ricky Fataar and guitarist Blondie Chaplin. Their eponymous album was produced by Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, who invited Fataar & Chaplin to join that band on the temporary departure of Bruce Johnston. They played, wrote and sang on three Beach Boys albums (Carl & The Passions (So Tough), Holland and In Concert) before leaving the band. Chaplin left the Beach Boys in December 1973 after an incident backstage at a concert when then-Beach Boys' manager Steve Love uttered a racist remark at Chaplin. Fataar left the group a year later in December 1974, after being offered to join Joe Walsh's band Barnstorm. Fataar later played 'Stig O' Hara' in Eric Idle's Rutles film and played on both Rutles albums, and now plays with Bonnie Raitt. Blondie Chaplin tours as a backing vocalist with the Rolling Stones, among others.
(2) The Flame is a collaboration between Rough Bunnies and All of My Brother's Girlfriends. Two bands that are almost the same band.
It is really hard to distinguish one band from the other. Both Annas are the big difference. Frida played in both bands and Pontus doesn't really know in which band he plays or if he his playing.
Their sound is based around "Hey, you guys play, and I'll follow!". Pop tunes with a lot of passion.
The Flame played a couple of shows around Sweden during the summer of 2005.
Members:
Anna Dahllöv - Violin
Anna Söderberg - Singing, playing the drums and guitar playing
Frida Person - Singing, playing the drums and guitar playing
Pontus Tenggren - Singing, playing the drums and guitar playing
(3) Young German hip hop artist, who expresses himself in both, the english and german language. He want's to expose what is behind the facades. Therefor he often picks own experiences and generalises them.
