Elegies

Formed in late 2013, the Sheffield six piece Elegies consists of Thomas Hoyland (vocals), Sam Gibson (vocals), Ben Jones (guitar), Marshall Smith (guitar), Chis Aitkenhead (bass), Dayle Franks (drums). Writing with heavy, melodic hardcore influences they released their debut self-titled EP in January 2014 which consisted of 5 tracks recorded and produced by Drew Lawson of Steel City Studios. The highlight of 2014 for Elegies saw them play Hit The Deck Festival in Nottingham alongside bands like Brand New, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Xcerts, More Than Life and Kvelertak. - KKKK - Kerrang Magazine - Sheffield hardcore clan Elegies, fresh on the scene and relative newcomers to the national live circuit showed confidence and commitment to their opening slot in The Rescue Rooms - Big Cheese Magazine As Elegies began 2015 they released their new single Throne with a new fresh EP titled Daylight Disease to follow shortly.
