Emily Jane Powers

Pushing the limits of indie folk pop, this Chicago artist (originally from Ann Arbor MI) has definitely been making an impact around the Chicago circuit. Her songs are beautifully composed, catchy, and artistically provocative. She has a very distinct voice that stands out, but also blends in well like one of the many instruments she plays. The folk music she writes on her guitar is a union of country, experimental, and dance undertones.

Prolific in releasing lo-fi recordings of acoustic guitar strums with TV noise and hiss in the background, this artist also goes by the name of Emily Powers.
