Kendel Carson

Kendel Carson is a rock & roll fiddle player who sings like a sultry demon. She currently records and tours as a solo artist, with Dustin Bentall & The Smøkes, Belle Starr & Alan Doyle (of Great Big Sea) among others. Kendel has has graced the stage with Elvis Costello, John Prine, Feist, Ron Sexsmith, Blue Rodeo, JJ Cale, Barney Bentall, Spirit of the West, Ridley Bent, Doug Paisley, was a longtime member of Juno award winning band The Paperboys and the now disbanded Outlaw Social. Solo, Kendel has been receiving accolades across the USA and Europe following the release of her 2 albums. Debut outing Rearview Mirror Tears was named one of the top 5 roots albums of the year by Q magazine in the UK. Following the release of her second album, Alright Dynamite, Kendel was the top female on the US Americana Radio Chart for over 6 weeks. In the summer of 2011, Mojo Magazine gave the “fiery” fiddler a 4star review for a side project she worked on with legendary songwriter Chip Taylor (Wild Thing, Angel of the Morning) and John Platania (best known for his guitar work with Van Morrison). elvis is the coolest cat.
