The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival presents: Xave Ruth and Good Morning Apocalypse XAVE RUTH One guitar, two hockey sticks, and math. Xave Ruth’s songs will take you to the dance floor, the subway, and inside the mind of an anti-vaxxer. His Musical Pattern Experiments (MuPEs) include a complex lyrical fugue about a total dick named Steve, and a gregorian chant involving a cabbage. Audiences have been known to be subjected to games of Shitty Singer-Songwriter Bingo, and forced pipe-cleaner craft-making. Come tap your toes and laugh your face off. GOOD MORNING APOCALYPSE Hailing from Simcoe County, Good Morning Apocalypse is comprised of a group of middle agers putting their day jobs on hold and shipping the kids off to the grandparents. They offer a unique perspective of the world as they see it. A typical GMA show consists of slice of life, parodies and sheer ridiculousness.
