As a new traditionalist singer/songwriter, her tunes effortlessly combine the storytelling and strings aspects of country music and the driving force of rock. After the last two joint releases (Cheater's Game in 2013 and Our Year in 2014) with husband Bruce Robison featuring duets with beautifully organic close harmonies, the reigning Austin all-Americana couple will take a creative break and pursue their own ventures this year. Kelly has a solo project currently in the works, which will tentatively be released later this year.

I’ve been hoping to see Kelly Willis for a long long time. She hasn’t toured the mid-Atlantic for a while, so I jumped at the chance to make a short road trip to Vienna.
She was amazing. Her voice is the best contemporary oner in Country and was as solid as ever. Played a long set, with lots of my favs and was lovely and charming with banter in between them.
The venue is very convenient for the audience with comfortable seating, easy parking and great sound. Show ends at a decent hour for us “mature” fans
