Thank you for your interest in South County High School Theatre Department’s annual student-directed one-acts. These performances are so special because they really are run by our theatre students. The one-acts are a series of short plays that were directed and selected by our upperclassmen. This year, we chose to have our dramatic plays perform on the first evening (January 19th ) and our comedic plays perform on the following evening (January 20th). We recommend purchasing a ticket for both evenings so that you can get the full experience! Please note that some of the plays, particularly the dramatic performances, do deal with serious subject matter including suicide and violence, and may be considered inappropriate for younger audiences. It is strongly encouraged that you research the plays before purchasing your ticket(s). Friday, January 19th Performances: Take Two by Jacqueline Lynch Directed by Jordan Leahey and Arielle Yates Ring of Lead by Ken Pickering Directed by Maddie Adams and Reagan Williams The Door by Paul Elliott Directed by Nick Hall and Armin Mahmutovic Evanesce Written and Directed by Scarlette Carter and Yorel Moore Saturday, January 20th Performances: Dinner with the MacGuffins by Jeff Grove and Chris Sheppard Directed by Quincy Dillman and Lulu Romero Action News: Now With 10% More Action by Jonathan Rand Directed by Kyndal Harrison Meet the Roommates by Jonathan Rand Directed by Jasmine Gates and Sierra Hays Please don’t hesitate to contact Molly Rumberger at mdrumberger@fcps.edu with any questions.
