Rising Americana/Roots Rock artist Chris Rattie and his band, The New Rebels released their sophomore album ‘Porch’ on September 15. Critics have described Chris’ debut record as “...full of idiosyncratic melodies and catchy, unexpected hooks” and have drawn comparisons of his sound with Ryan Adams, Steve Earle, Dire Straits, and White Album era Beatles. His latest album builds on the first album with Chris finding clarity in his themes and assuredness in his musical arrangements. This new collection of songs on 'Porch' illuminates the process of finding one's self, finding one's place, and finding love. ‘Porch’, recorded in an isolated studio in the hills of Central Pennsylvania, was produced and engineered by Chris with his long time collaborators Forrest Schwartz and Jason “Junior” Tutwiler. ‘Porch’ falls into the Americana/Roots Rock genre with a healthy dose of “Songwriter’s songs” and well as early 70’s rock.
