The best female jazz singers in music history have a sound that's like no other. Their melodies and tones captivate us and keep us coming back for more. Many of the best women are no longer with us, but their incomparable jazz vocals will live on forever. Olivia Castriota is a NYC based vocalist and recording artist. Her debut album 'All At Once' peaked at #2 on the iTunes US New Album Release charts and her music video for “I Wanna Know” won 'Best R&B Video' by The Academia. She has had the privilege of singing at the World Famous Apollo Theater five times; opened for 'The God Mother of R&B' Lil' Mo, The Shades, Lili K, Milo Greene, and RANN; performed with Grammy nominated artist Marky of The Ramones and Hollywood Anderson of American Idol and worked with songwriter of seven #1 hit songs, Vlado Kolenic. With a style ranging from soft, airy, and almost angelic, to raspy powerhouse vocals, Olivia Castriota is sure set your soul on fire! Her sound can be compared to the likes of Bishop Briggs, Zara Larson, Tori Kelly and Amy Winehouse, just to name a few.
Olivia has graced stages across the country over the years. From intimate performances, to sold-out shows, including venues like the world-famous Apollo Theater in and the electrifying MetLife Stadium, she has gradually created a loyal following.
After her debut album, All At Once (2015), peaked at #2 on the iTunes US New Album Release charts, Live For Live Music labeled her sound as “irresistibly slinky.” Meanwhile Grammy Winner, Vlado Kolenic, crowned her "one of the most talented vocalists in years!"
Her most recent release, "Kills Me," has been streamed over 160k times on Spotify and she's been featured in PopDust, Gasmask Magazine, Vents Mag, and COOLS Mag among others. “What Do You Stand For” is the first to be released from her second album “I Need A Minute” due out early 2020.
