Carter Sampson is an Oklahoma born singer/songwriter with a big voice, who is blessed by a musical family legacy that includes Roy Orbison.
Carter makes a welcome return to the UK after her wonderfully received performances at both the Kilkenny Roots and Glastonbury festivals.
Her journey as a naturally independent, free-spirited musician has seemed almost predestined at times. Aged 15, she began experimenting with sound as a way to pass the time; now her creativity has matured into the dedicated and passionate performance that makes her a favourite female vocalist.
Reflecting on the long road that she has travelled so far, Carter says I feel like I am right where I am supposed to be, doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing,

Carter will be joined on stage at Fulford by fellow Oklahoma residents, Lauren Barth and Jesse Aycock.
If opportunity should come one's way to see these two, take note and heed its call. This enterprise is accessible, enjoyable, and filled with the nuances of well-fashioned material that is often lost on the music products of the world -
