Jhené Aiko (born March 16, 1988 in Los Angeles, full name Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo) is an American R & B singer.Jhené Aiko comes from a musical family. Two older sisters of her sang in a girl group, she appeared as a teenager in music videos and was a background singer, including in the early 2000s for the boy band B2K.After finishing school, in 2011 she released her first own mixtape titled Sailing Soul (s). She had written the songs on it herself and received prominent support from, among others, Drake, Kanye West and Gucci Mane. She signed a record deal with Def Jam and released the first single in 2012, 3:16 AM.The breakthrough brought her two collaborations the following year. On the single Beware of Big Sean she was a guest vocalist, she came in the top 40 of the US charts and reached gold status. Even an international chart hit was From Time by Drake, in which she also participated. In November, she released the EP Sail Out, which went on to # 8 on the US album charts and earned her gold. Included was the song The Worst, which became her first own chart hit and even became a million seller.In September 2014, the debut album Souled Out by Jhené Aiko was released. It topped the R & B charts and came 3rd on the official charts. It did not bring another single hit, but this year she had two successful collaborations with Chris Brown and Omarion, the Omarion single Post to Be sold three million times.In 2016 she teamed up once again with Big Sean. They recorded a joint album of co-written songs, album and project names were Twenty88. The album was released in early April and brought them for the second time to the top of the R & B charts and in fifth place on the album charts.In September 2017, Jhené Aiko released the album Trip. Also in this work, Big Sean worked with. As the first single While We`re Young was preloaded in advance and also released a 20-minute short film that uses tracks from the album as a soundtrack.
