3:00 PM
For more than a decade, multi-awarded global troubadour, 8 Ball Aitken, has flown the Australian flag on the international circuit performing more than two hundred shows a year, and is thrilled to be performing in Tumut for the first time. Impossibly dedicated to his six-string muse and absolutely devoted to his audiences, 8 Ball Aitken’s funky, foot stomping energy and infectious blend of swampy blues-rock, have brought the party vibe to venues, festivals and high profile music events in the USA, France, Japan, Canada and Europe. He has garnered numerous accolades, awards, rave reviews and recognition across genres, with the single "(She’s Going To Mexico) I’m Going To Jail", reaching #1 on the Country and #2 on the Blues charts respectively. The international patron for the Airlie Beach Festival of Music is a prolific singer/songwriter and ace multi-instrumentalist, and brings his 9th self-titled album on the road for the Blazing Blues Summer Tour. The Lacmalac House concert series is brought to you by the Phillips Family, with house concerts being a way to truly witness live music in an intimate setting, without all the distractions of public venues. Cost is $25 pp (kids are free), payable at the door or online. Entry includes a support set from upcoming country/blues musician, Rory Phillips, plus another local act still to be announced. Artist's merchandise will be available for purchase on the night, so you might want to bring some extra cash too! This is a non-catered event with guests welcome to BYO drinks & nibbles; water, tea and coffee will be supplied. Limited seating is provided but guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs/beanbags/picnic blankets. Weather permitting, the event will be held outside, so please dress to suit the conditions. You can RSVP to this event if you intend to come, or ring Sam Phillips on 0408475352 to confirm. More details regarding the artists and the venue will be shared soon.
