Robin Jackson album release with Kathryn Claire Band

It’s not every day that two prominent NW songwriters have known each other since they were kids. Robin and Kathryn, two well known musicians in their own right, have been playing tougher since age 7 and both call Eugene their hometown. This very special show is also the release party for Jackson’s second full length album, Dark Stars. Award winning Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Robin Jackson, known for his wild, theatrical contributions to bands like Vagabond Opera and the March Fourth Marching Band, releases his second solo record. Mr Jackson, joined by his all-star six piece ensemble of NW musicians The Caravan, draws upon the moody spirit of his rain-soaked, Portland, Or. home to create an eclectic brew of dreamy folk-pop, cinematic indie rock and above all, enigmatic storytelling.  "A catchy and captivating song-crafter, a true storyteller.” —WBEZ, Chicago They are joined by the illustrious songwriter Kathryn Claire. Kathryn Claire is a consummate violinist, guitar player, singer, and songwriter. Strong fundamentals from her classical and traditional music background combined with improvisation has made her a favorite at venues, festivals and institutions around the world. She has toured and performed extensively in the US, Japan, India, Holland, Belgium and France. She has collaborated with bands from JONAH to The Portland Cello Project has toured around the US and Canada, Europe and Japan and has two full length albums "Morning Comes to Soon" and "Bones Will Last."
