Familiar Wild writes "pop music with heart and soul...and brain...and kindness" (DJ Champion). This Pacific Northwest band creates music with stirring atmospheres, rare melodic angles and inviting textures. Their new album could be the love child of Indie Folk band Daughter, Scandi-Pop artist Susanne Sundfor and Electro-based Postal Service and will be released with Abandon Building Records, 2016. Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Julie Corrigan is a soulful, country, pop, roots, singer/songwriter hailing from the small town of Shawville Quebec. Julie is on the heels of releasing her first full length album The Language, recorded in Ottawa at Little Bullhorn Studios with producer Dave Draves (Kathleen Edwards, Howe Gelb). The album also features distinguished musicians Fred Guignon on guitar, Peter Von Althen on drums, and Don Cummings on B-3 organ.
