On Friday, December 8, 2017, at Minton’s Harlem, the Argentine-born singer Sofía Tosello will release Lluvia fue, an album of contemporary and historical tango songs. Tosello’s powerful renditions, in bold new arrangements by Latin Grammy winner Fernando Otero, will thrill tango fans while introd
ucing new audiences to a deep and moving tradition. The title refers to a rain that has come and gone, and Tosello sings of a world in which wisdom and hope cleanse the pain that came before. There are moments of reflection, times of gaiety, recollections of sorrow, and affirmations of love. Lluvia fue presents a singer in her own element, who looks forward as she looks back, mourns as she embraces the future, who captures, in short, the essence of tango and its emotions, across the divides of time, country and language.
