Angel Snow is an answer to the question 'Where is Americana heading?' When we first heard her some years back, the quality of the writing was obvious and clearly Alison Krauss agreed when she chose to use three of Angel's songs on her massive 2011 album Paper Airplane, including the fantastic hit 'I Lie Awake'.

Angel's brand new album 'Magnetic' (Nettwerk Music Group) is a brave and highly successful weaving together of her traditional, familiar writing style and modern, electronic influences. It is highly appealing cross-over stuff which retains the focus on that incredible voice of hers and will appeal to a broader audience as well as her current roots music fanbase.

Ida Wenøe. Amongst a digital mountain range littered with accomplished folk-ish bands and singer-songwriters, it is a rare miracle to come across a cave so rich in jewels as the one beneath Ida Wenøe's ribcage. Clash Magazine's description of her sound as being bewitching acid folk with a deeply personal edge and Paul Lester's comments in The Guardian that she sounds like the young narrator of her own magical-malevolent fantasies perhaps begin to delineate her skills.
