Pink Rock: A Benefit Show for Cancer Research
Saturday, October 21st, 2017
7:00 PM
NYC — This is not your typical cancer benefit. On Saturday, October 21, you won’t see overpriced cocktails, collared shirts, or boring old stiffs pretending to have a good time. You will see some of the city’s best punk bands coming together for PINK ROCK. Comedian Courtney Maginnis (as heard on NPR) hosts this raucous fundraiser for The American Cancer Society’s fight against breast cancer. On the lineup: The all-female band GEENA DAVIS, and local punk staples LIVE ONES and THE TRACYS, with DJ Sam Zee (recently featured in Time Out’s Undateables) spinning between sets. Doors are at 7 PM, and bands take the stage at 7:30 for this one-time extravaganza. Piano’s is located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side at 158 Ludlow Street at Stanton. Tickets are $10, and proceeds go directly to The American Cancer Society.
