Lietava is a minimalist and radical folk project by two highly respected Lithuanian musicians, featuring 16 rare traditional Lithuanian folk instruments. Some of these have never been professionally recorded before.Combining story telling with performance, the shows will offer a rare opportunity to get up close to, and hear the sounds of, some stunningly beautiful instruments, all mastered by an extraordinarily talented multi-instrumentalist. The shows will also help the the audience understand the role and significance of the instruments and the conceptual thinking that lies behind the project.
