Tix from www.northcotesocialclub.com Melbourne born songwriters, Liz Stringer & Jordie Lane, began their careers together playing a record breaking residency at an inner-north pub years ago. Following two sold out shows in late 2016,they’re reuniting once again for what is becoming an annual festive season event, The Liz Stringer & Jordie Lane X-Mas Show, to be held in Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club on Wednesday December 20th. This will be a nostalgic homecoming for both artists. Lane has spent the better part of the last four years in the USA and Stringer is preparing to return to Toronto to record in early 2018, after spending months in Canada touring in 2016/17. They’ll be performing songs from the latest of their collective 10 albums, All The Bridges (Stringer) & GLASSELLLAND (Jordie Lane and the Sleepers). The show will also include collaborations on stage between these two celebrated guitarists and singers.

Melbourne born, London based musician Liz Stringer has become one of Australia’s most admired and versatile songwriters and instrumentalists over a 6 album career. Stringer is a venerated guitarist and vocalist, her powerful live performances and melodically rich, story-based songs delighting fans and festival-goers throughout Australia and a growing audience in North America and Europe.
A notoriously witty and engaging performer and a natural storyteller, Stringer’s work has been shortlisted for the prestigious Australian Music Prize and has received the respect and endorsement from some of the folk/roots scene’s most influential musicians, including legends Midnight Oil, Jackson Browne and the inimitable Bonnie Raitt.
