Trey Teem Biography
Today, in this unrealistic expectation of aspiring artists to adapt to a common mold of music distinction, in walks brassy, brown-eyed, singer/song-writer Trey Teem to shake things up a bit. Trey is a native Georgia boy raised listening to the poetic vibe of southern rock, traditional country and the many indigenous blues artists that bestow Macon with its musical soul. Trey began experimenting with his new guitar with tunes from Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Allman Brothers, mixed up with some David Allen Coe, Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Jason Aldean and a little Hank. Eventually these ingredients became the basic recipe for the unique sound that is purely Trey Teem. Trey’s conviction to his music, his humble confidence along with the support and dedication of his fans, family and friends fuels his vision and puts his future in perspective. It seems he writes a new song just as fast as we can get addicted to the last one. Hold on tight folks he’s just getting started.
In 2016 Trey's entry into the local NASH NEXT competition paid off in spades when he was not only selected as the local winner with 99.1 WDEN Macon, but also as one of the TOP 10 National Finalists with a Big Machine record deal almost within his grasp. He didn't win, but he got to go ON TOUR with all the finalists and the winner Todd O'Neill via Country Inns and Suites.
2017 didn't slow his ambition as he was already proving himself as a force to be reckoned with by submitting to the 2017 NASH NEXT competition once again. He not only won the local competition, he and the band got to open for Jason Aldean's "Concert for the Kids" benefiting Navicent Children's Hospital held at the Macon Centreplex in Macon Georgia.
In his relentless pursuit for success in an industry where old country vs new country is once again a major topic of conversation, Trey remains true to his unique vibe. He released his debut EP and made the big move to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his love of song writing. He's not gone long though, as he's back home performing in Georgia most every weekend.
