Fanny Mendelssohn

The annual Liszt Festival, sponsored by the South Florida chapter of the American Liszt Society at FIU, is dedicated to advancing knowledge about the great Hungarian pianist and composer Franz Liszt. For this evening, FIU artist-in-residence Kemal Gekic and pianist Jose Lopez perform works by Franz Liszt, Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn, Ferdinand Hiller, Charles-Valentin Alkan and original paraphrases on operas by Meyerbeer.Ticketing: $15 Non-Members; $10 JMOF-FIU Members; free for FIU Students (with valid ID).
