Equally virtuosic on electric and acoustic versions of his instrument, Clarke's a long-time innovator who's composed for film and TV and won tons of awards, including four Grammys and "Rolling Stone"'s very first Jazzman of the Year. Plus, he's jammed in bands or on records with just about everybody, from Chick Corea, Ronnie Wood and Stewart Copeland to Esperanza Spalding, Michael Jackson and Beck, and way beyond.
