Birmingham based Olly Chalk is one the most forward-thinking and engaging young improvisers in jazz today. His trio (ft. Sam Ingvorsen on bass and Gwilym Jones on drums)
are focused on intertwining Olly's intricate, daring and emotive writing with both introspective and explosive improvising.

Citing influences such as David Binney, Tim Berne, John Escreet, Ambrose Akinmusire, Pablo Held, Steve Lehman, Matt Mitchell, Einojuhani Rautaavara - this exciting new music
is part of Olly's 'Scathed Citizens' project - a tour and studio album ft. saxophonist John O'Gallagher.

Olly Chalk - piano/compositions
Sam Ingvorsen - double bass
Gwilym Jones - drums
