12:00 PM
Country singer/songwriter Kaitlyn Baker will return to the WDVX Blue Plate Special on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. This acclaimed, live-concert series airs six days a week from the lobby of the Visit Knoxville Visitor Center and is open to the public at no charge, so be sure to arrive early for the best seats. Baker’s performance will include songs from her upcoming EP “Blackbird,” as well as a few of her classics. The Virginia native has been called a new “coal miner’s daughter.” Her single “Coal Train” was included in the 50th Anniversary ACM Awards ZinePak, and her “Heart of Appalachia” is the official theme song for tourism in Southwest Virginia. Baker was named among “Top 10 Country Artists to Watch” in HuffPost. Her credits include performing at Country Jam Colorado, the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, the Findlay Market / Cincinnati Reds and the nationally syndicated television concert series "Song of the Mountains."
