Good Morning Bedlam is performing at Garrick Hotel with Odder than the Otters and Skylar Bouchard!

Good Morning Bedlam's show is an explosion of energy with soaring harmonies, a banjo player that scissor-kicks in the air, a string bass that will shake your chest, and a beat that will have your foot stomping through the floor. Every song is a unique twist on what is generally dubbed as folk music. One moment they are blasting through a jubilant bluegrass tune, headbanging and careening around the stage, and in the next, Sophia, their fiddler is dancing the Charleston during what can only be described as a modern folk swing dance song.

Odder than the Otters float somewhere between catchy skiffle and melodious psychedelia, blending surreal storytelling into their riverside rock ‘n’ roll. Playful lyrics slide down life’s riverbanks and plunge into deep, cool meaning. Drawing from influences like The Band, Neil Young, Jake Bugg, Shakey Graves, and Sam Roberts Band, Otters hit home then drift downstream into otherworldly travels.

Skylar Bouchard shares his experiences with loss and love, often on the backdrop of his hometown, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. His sound is smooth and salient - think Lyle Lovett meets Tallest Man On Earth. In 2016, he performed at The Winnipeg Folk Festival.
