Multi-instrumentalists, Nadja, have recently released an acoustic compilation of tracks from their sea of previous albums, entitled Stripped. The Berlin-based duo play The Pickle Factory early next year!Forming in 2003, they create music that has been described as ambient doom, dreamsludge, and metalgaze, combining the atmospheric textures of shoegaze and ambient music with the heaviness and volume of metal and industrial. Nadja has released numerous recordings on such labels as Alien8 Recordings, Hydrahead Records, Gizeh Records, Essence Music, and their own label, Broken Spine Productions.Originally from Toronto and now residing in Berlin, the duo have toured and performed extensively around the world, appearing at such diverse festivals as SXSW, FIMAV, Roadburn, and Unsound.
