Lower Slaughter describe themselves modestly as a band who make loud riffs though we at Box Records think the The Quietus description of lurching noise-rock that occasionally works the angles but is chiefly a showpiece for big fuck-off riffs that call to mind Pissed Jeans, Nirvana and Harvey Milk is more accurate.

As part of their November tour following the release of their debut album 'What Big Eyes' on Box Records, Lower Slaughter hit the toon to steam roll us with mid-week riffs.

Loud & Quiet - Lower Slaughter are a welcomed antidote to the bands that have nothing important to say, and the fans that thought British hardcore punk was on its knees.

The Quietus - There is so much enthusiasm, energy and joy on display within the LP, it's a must-have for anyone who loves the wonderful music coming from the underground in the UK at this moment in time.

NARC - Bone Meal is an excellent primer in what they're all about: a huge lurching riff and furious, in your face vocals, the perfect blend of melody and punk rock energy. Banging.
