Viewfield Lane Festival
Saturday, September 16th, 2017
12:00 PM
Welcome to GUEST's yearly garden eco festival! Join us on the 16th of September from 12 - 5 pm for funky live music from great local bands. Apart from getting to know GUEST as an organisation (and the jobs we are currently advertising), you’ll get the chance to meet all environmental societies at Glasgow University in a more relaxed atmosphere. There will be music, drink, food and other goodies, interesting workshops run by the societies on a number of environmental and activist themes, a cycling tour with Glasgow Uni Cycling (GUC) from 11 -1pm, plus some fun art activities for those creatively inclined. The festival will take place on Viewfield Lane - right off Gibson Street a few seconds away from the library. There’s no chance of missing us since we’ll be painting our Cargo Bike right at the entrance and getting artistic whilst decorating the street with some vibrant crayons. Swap Shop Pickup: we will be collecting your old clothes, books, furniture, posters….the likes at the Festival for our Swap Shop event (held 13th October). If you're ready to party afterwards, head down to the Bank Street Cafe Bar with GUC from 7pm-late for some free pizza. Bring your friends, flatmates, a whopping good mood and dancing shoes!
