KEITH FOSTER Want songs about piers, ghosts, love, the sea, Hastings and penguins? Here you have them. Well, except, perhaps, not the penguins. 7.30pm // On The Rocks MATTHEW BROADBENT An instrumentalist/songwriter from Battle who likes to blend folky guitar pieces with his own style of spacey/folk songs sang with warm vocals and finger picked guitar. 7.50pm // On The Rocks SIMON WELLS & CAROL HODGE Drawing arrangement influences from the likes of James Taylor and Van Morrison, Simon‘s new album Crime Of The Scene is an acoustic offering with finely crafted, poignant lyrics. Simon is joined live by Carol Hodge, with acoustic guitar and piano supporting his gravelly, soulful vocals. 8.10pm // On The Rocks MELLOW BAKU Artist of song and spoken word, Mellow Baku performs solo and in ensembles from duos to orchestras. Her sound ranges from soulful folk, jazz and roots to live looping, experimental digital soundscapes and poetry. Whether in local bars, community spaces or concert venues, Mellow’s performances connect, share, provoke and explore. 8.30pm // On The Rocks LUKE ALEXANDER-GROSE Politically focussed spoken word artist, with hip hop inspired lyrics. 9pm // On The Rocks BENT COUSIN Songs about the seaside, existential dread and ferrets. They used to live in Eastbourne, but were asked to leave. 9.30pm // On The Rocks
