Eilidh Steel and Mark Neal are a Scottish fiddle and guitar duo who are in great demand in the UK and abroad. Combining traditional music rooted in Argyll and Scotland's West Coast with their own compositions, Eilidh and Mark are leading lights of the young folk/roots movement and have toured extensively around Europe.

Since their delightful 2015 performance in Masham, Eilidh and Mark have played at Celtic Connections and to an audiencxe of 4,000 in Verona, supported Madness, and acted as Ewan MacGregor's backing band!

Eilidh Steel is from Argyllshire where she started playing fiddle at the age of six. Since graduating from Glasgow's Royal Conservatoire of Scotland she has composed, played and toured as a full time musician, and she is Artistic Director of the Scots Fiddle Festival. Eilidh is a respected tunesmith with her compositions performed and recorded by many artists throughout the world.

Originally from East Kilbride, guitarist and singer-songwriter Mark Neal has played various instruments since the age of 5. He moved to Edinburgh to study a degree in physics then a PhD in Musical Acoustics, before turning to music as a full time career.
