Culture webzine Backseat Mafia (Sheffield, UK) is proud to present its first Australian show at Staves Brewery with locals The Hadron Colliders, Steph Miller (ex Roaring Jack and Eva Trout) and Pete Marley (The Nature Strip). Terrific songs from some of Sydney's best songwriters in a fantastic new venue with great beer and free parking across the road at Broadway. From 7pm. $10 at the door (or $8 in advance). The Hadron Colliders received international acclaim and radio play across Australia for their EP, "Measuring the Space between Us All" and have played most recently in the Grimoire Festival in the fringes of Hobart's iconic Dark Mofo Festival in Hobart. They play a new wave-influenced atmospheric style of music reminiscent of The Triffids, The Church and The Cure. Steph Miller came to international prominence in the legendary punk/folk band Roaring Jack in the eighties and went on to play in Eva Trout and solo work with his band Steph Miller and the Winter Station. Pete Marley is co-singer/songwriter in the poptastic The Nature Strip with their power pop, post-punk and new wave flavours and new album "Beetle Bones" just recently launched to great reviews.
