Clyde and the Milltailers is a Colorado based Alternative Folk trio that is influenced by early American music, history and folklore. Formed in Grand Junction Colorado By Steve “Clyde” Kilcrease and David Rowley in early 2014.The group's name being a local reference to radioactive uranium mill tailings that were used as foundation fill and sidewalks in their home town that at the time were not yet known to be dangerously radioactive. Clyde and the Miltlaielrs is a trio that has featured a rotating line up of musicians since it's formation in 2016 by Clyde McGee . The most recent lineup including Lightnin' Luke on violin and King Strang on Upright bass. All three are members of the Portland based group The Bridge City Sinners and are apart of the Flail Records family. The songwriting and style is heavily influenced by early American swing, folk, and Appalachian old time music.
