Don't miss "The Bald Spots" at the Monarch Club on Friday November 3rd at 7:00PM. This talented local quintet performs popular songs of the 1950's and 60's mixed with hilarious anecdotes and funny memories of a classic era in music. This concert is a fundraiser for the Gary & Patricia Lamprecht Music Education Endowment, a fund created in 2016 to honor 40 years of musical direction by the founder of the San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts

Vocal Arts Ensemble San Luis Obispo Biography

The VAE has been performing locally since 1977 and has toured Canada and Europe, including Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic. Singers in the Ensemble are required to pass a vocal audition to qualify for membership.

In 2007 the Board of Directors approved the creation of an International Choral Festival and Competition which proved to be a resounding success. The Choral Festival was an instant hit in the community and brought in audiences beyond the usual Vocal Arts fans. The Festival brought in people of all ages, from Santa Maria to Cambria, and some “choral tourists” from beyond the local area. The Festival was presented again in 2009 and 2011 and we are currently planning for our 2013 Festival & Competition.
