When soprano Dorothea Röschmann last appeared at Carnegie Hall, she sang the lead role in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with heart-wrenching conviction. Less than two weeks later, she performed in recital alongside pianist Mitsuko Uchida with virtually unrivalled intimacy.
