Start with a traditional chamber-music group, sprinkle in some audience participation, and you've got the recipe for the world's first all-request classical ensemble, known as Shuffle Concert. Created by pianist Eliran Avni and inspired by the eclectic nature of his own playlist, this talented group of musicians was built to handle whatever you can throw at them. They've got a list of more than 30 works to choose from, in 15 different styles, with arrangements ranging from solos to sextets in classical, baroque, romantic, jazz, pop and Broadway genres. They've played prestigious venues like Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, toured throughout the country and in Israel, and now they'll take the stage at the ASU Kerr Cultural Center.
