You know these songs. You probably had the albums, "Restless Nights," "Karla Bonoff," "New World" or one of the others. You certainly know Linda Ronstadt's versions of Karla's songs, songs like "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me," "If He's Ever Near" and "Lose Again." Or maybe Wynona Judd's version of "Tell Me Why." Bonoff's cover of "The Water Is Wide" with James Taylor and JD Souther on harmonies is the definitive take on that classic.
She will be playing in The Robin Hixon Theater as part of North Shore Point Downtown on Sept. 16 with Nina Gerber accompanying her on guitar. You may remember Nina as the guitar player for Eliza Gilkyson at North Shore Point a few years ago.
