A true innovator, Miles Davis was always ahead of the curve, from the birth of cool jazz to the development of hard bop to the controversial explosion of genres with fusion. Celebrating this legacy of cutting-edge originality, the Miles Electric Band delves into the trumpeter's electric period, which gave the world classic albums like "In a Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew". Hitting the stage at Fort Lauderdale's Parker Playhouse are former Davis collaborators, including Grammy nominee Robert Irving III on piano, percussionist Munyungo Jackson, and Grammy winner and Davis' nephew Vince Wilburn Jr. on drums. Dwayne Thomas Jr., David Gilmore, Etienne Charles, Antoine Roney and Debasish Chaudhurion round out this modern jazz ensemble.
