About this concert
Two acclaimed masters of blues, boogie & rock piano take you on a musical journey through roots piano styles, mixing original tunes and classic covers. BOB MALONE has toured the world as a solo artist for two decades and he's played keyboards with rock legend John Fogerty since 2011. He is also a busy session player and arranger, and is on a track along with Joe Walsh and Jeff Lynne on the new Ringo Starr record, Give More Love. Classically trained, with a degree in jazz and a lifetime playing rock & roll clubs, theaters, and arenas, Bob Malone plays a high-energy hybrid of classic rock, blues, and New Orleans R&B, delivered with a voice all his own. Malone’s latest album, Mojo Deluxe, went to #1 on the Independent British Blues Broadcasters (IBBA) radio chart, and was one of the top 100 most played CDs in 2015 on the Roots Music Report radio charts. ARTHUR MIGLIAZZA starred in the critically acclaimed off-broadway show Boogie Stomp! - which had a highly successful 2015 run at the Elektra Theatre in Times Square. A boogie and blues piano virtuoso since childhood, he’s been inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, was a finalist at the 2010 and 2014 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, and in his 20-plus years of performing has played on some of the world’s greatest stages, including Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, and the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. His latest album, Laying It Down, went top-20 on the Roots Music Report blues chart, and his benchmark instructional book, How To Play Boogie Woogie Piano, is available from Hal Leonard Publishing.
