About this concert
AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST GENDER DIVERSE MUSIC FESTIVAL, SAD GRRRLS FEST IS BACK FOR A THIRD YEAR AND IT’S BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER! “The greatest event I ever attended” – Beat Magazine Sad Grrrls Festival, Australia’s Largest music festival dedicated to promoting gender diversity in the music industry, is back for its third year running. Presented by DIY record label and booking agency Sad Grrrls Club, the festival, which last year sold out Melbourne’s Reverence Hotel and packed out Sydney’s Factory Theatre, has added a Brisbane leg to the event, and a change of venue sees the Sydney leg of the festival become a Licensed All Ages event.

Hurst Biography
HURST is a rock band from Sydney, Australia. Since forming in 2014, the quartet have been winning over audiences with their charismatic brand of foot-stomping, butt-shaking post-punk. The bands energetic live show has seen them showcase at Australian Music Week and jump on support slots with the likes of Kingswood, and FUEL (USA).
Their latest single "Rattle Kids" is an anthem paying tribute to their upbringing in Western Sydney suburbia. Dabbling with pop melody mixed with nostalgia, “Rattle Kids”, channels the feelings about the unhinging and release of falling in love, reclaiming youth, owning life and not giving a damn - all things that don’t have to end as you grow up.
"This has a searing stack of energy and it whomps you with that chorus." - Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J Unearthed Music Director
"Taking cues from the greats such as Weezer and Killing Heidi, HURST play around with genre influence rather than let it over take them. Rattle Kids, for example, sees them continue to carve their own path." - AAA Backstage
