Grammy-nominated R&B hitmaker Jeffrey Osborne kicked off his career more than 40 years ago as the lead singer for the funk-soul group L.T.D., which had a smash with "Back in Love Again." His 1982 self-titled debut album, with its hit single "On the Wings of Love," launched a successful solo career, which includes five gold and platinum albums, collaborations with Dionne Warwick ("Love Power") and such beloved pop singles as "You Should Be Mine," "Don't Stop" and "Stay With Me Tonight." He's continued to record and tour ever since, bringing his smooth stage charisma and soaring vocal range to venues around the world, including this latest stop at The Genesee in Waukegan. He'll be joined by sax star Mindi Abair, who's produced several No. 1 contemporary jazz albums and toured with Aerosmith. Chicago singer-songwriter Nicholas Barron opens.
