Hunter Muskett are Chris George, Terry Hiscock and Doug Morter who met in 1969 whilst still at college, joined a year later by bassist, Rog Trevitt. Their music is described as 'quintessentially English' and is a beautifully intricate tapestry of guitars, poetic lyrics and lush harmonies. Their early albums became rare underground gems when re-released by Cherry Red records in 2009, after a growing internet interest. This led to a 'one-off' reunion performance which has produced a further two albums of superb musicianship. Perhaps best known for 'Silver Coin' written by Hiscock and recorded and performed by various artists including Bridget St John, Archie Fisher and Barbara Dixon, Hunter Muskett have commanded a quietly strong presence in the heart of the folk rock/pop industry. This tour brings their latest album 'Unafraid and Sober' recorded, mixed and mastered by Spencer Cozens (John Martyn, Joan Armatrading, Pentangle) at his Steinway Studio, Lincs with Jacqui McShee providing guest vocals on a stunning version of 'The Scarecrow'. It's an exquisite piece of work and highly recommended to hear the songs played Live in this medieval, intimate setting.
