The Dictators from New York City! The band that influenced so many bands all over the world, the band which got Ross the Boss from former MANOWAR and Daniel Rey, producer of Ramones albums and songwriter of Ramones songs, on guitar and of course Mr Handsome Dick Manitoba on vocals! The band was founded in 1973 in New York City and had a great influence on countless rock and punk bands ever since together with bands like MC5, New York Dolls and The Stooges. After not playing for years, three of the five members from THE DICTATORS, Handsome Dick Manitoba, Ross The Boss, and The Dictators drummer, JP “Thunderbolt” Patterson, decided to answer the call. They thought this music, that meant so much to so many, should not be put to rest. They wrote some fantastic new tunes, put out a single in 2015 and 2016 (which are now sold out), started working on a new record and have been touring Europe constantly and very successfully since 2014. At their shows music lovers had the opportunity to hear them play all the hits from their 1970s albums “Bloodbrothers” and “Go girl crazy” and also from their last official studio record “DFFD”. Especially in Europe the fan base keeps growing. And the band now decided to change the band name from The Dictators NYC into Manitoba NYC. They want to go on enjoying the fun they are having on stage by performing and playing for their fans. The set stays the same. The musicians are the same. But the band name will be from now on: Manitoba NYC (Ex The Dictators NYC). For further info please check:
