As one of the worlds premier chamber orchestras, the ensemble is renowned for its fresh, brilliant interpretations of the worlds most-beloved classical music. Formed by Sir Neville Marriner with a group of London musicians who worked without a conductor, it gave its first concert in its namesake church in Londons Trafalgar Square in 1959. Today, it is among the most celebrated chamber orchestras in the world.
