Jazz Times calls Clark “a revelation”. We call her the second coming of Sarah Vaughan! A winner of the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition and the American Traditions Competition, Clark appears regularly in DC at Blues Alley, the Smithsonian Jazz Café but also in Europe where she regulary tours with the awarded Swedish pianist Mattias Nilsson. Clark has headlined the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, the Cape May Jazz Festival and the Savannah Music Festival where she earned the festival’s Gold Medal. From festivals across the U.S. to concert halls in Europe, Sharón Clark brings audiences to their feet with her rich contralto and spot-on intonation. Her standing-room-only performance at the 2006 Cape May Jazz Festival drew raves from Jazz Times: "Clark not only conjures up memories of the divine Sarah [Vaughan]; she does them justice. I never thought I'd hear a singer with the range, musicality and command of tone and timbre that was Sarah at her best, but now I have." /JazzTimes
