Zervas and Pepper are 6 piece band centred around songwriters Paul Zervas & Kathryn Pepper.
Hailed by taste makers for there Exquisitely harmonised, blissed out folk rock MOJO. The band
has been back in the studio creating their follow up album to critically acclaimed albums
Lifebringer (2013) and Abstract Heart (2015)
Abstract Heart brought the band to the attention of legendary songwriter David Crosby (The
Byrds/CSN&Y) who reached out to give his endorsement. Several backstage meetings followed
leading David to recommend the services of James Raymond of CPR and CSN&Y for recording
and session work. The first recordings for 2017 album 'Wilderland' ensued at Raymond's Bamboo
Studios Los Angeles.
Zervas & Pepper wrote most of the songs for 'Wilderland' whilst hold up in a cabin in the Rocky
Mountain of Colorado. Returning to their acoustic roots to write. Surrounded by the wilderness, a
return to nature seeps into the songs. The sanctuary of the cabin only disturbed by thoughts of the
outside world and the unfolding events that would find their way into the fabric of the music. By the
time the band were back together in the studio in Mid-Wales UK the sound had developed, bringing
the talents of their long standing band to bring to life the imaginings of their travels.
Roses of Jericho is due for release June 2017 in the UK and Europe. Previous album Lifebringer
and Abstract Heart found a home in UK stations BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music with interviews
and sessions with Lauren Laverne, Radcliffe and Maconie, Terry Wogan. Making Live appearances
at festivals, theatres and arenas for support tours as well as their own headline tours.
