This year Jonathan will be starting off the Christmas season on December 1st with ‘Jonathan Antoine – An Introduction to the Holiday Spirit’ in which he will incorporate a few seasonal choices along with much of his well loved repertoire. His first solo album ‘Tenore’ spent 3 weeks at the top of the Official Classical charts making him the youngest tenor to ever have a Classical number one. His latest album “Believe” has now become a firm favourite with fans and to date has spent 38 weeks in the Official Classical chart since its release last August, with a vinyl edition is to be released in June. Jonathan’s repertoire for this concert will contain many fan favourites from both albums, including of course the popular choices “Hallelujah” and “Bring Him Home” as well as beautiful arias he performs to perfection. There will of course be surprises and songs not currently recorded by Jonathan. Alongside these well known classics, ‘An Introduction to the Holiday Spirit’ will also be host to a myriad of never-before-heard songs, unreleased demo renditions and generally top-secret stuff
Many of you will be aware of Jonathan as part of a duo “Jonathan and Charlotte” from Britain’s Got Talent in 2012. At the tender age of 17 Jonathan found himself unintentionally and very suddenly in the limelight!. He is now still only 22 and has made 4 albums. After two albums together as ‘Jonathan and Charlotte’ they went their separate ways, both recording solo albums. Since then Jonathan’s solo career has only flourished to new heights, Performing all over the globe with such greats as Sting, Adam Levine, David Foster, Placido Domingo, touring with some of the most well respected names in modern classical singing ( Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson), and continuing to evolve and develop a unique vocal style as he continues taking voice lessons with Joy Mammen and enriching his musical knowledge – he will be full of surprises in the future and his international fan base will, I’m sure enjoy being along for the ride! There is a lot more to come from this homegrown British tenor who has a vocal talent far beyond his young years.
