Ileana Joglar was so young when she joined her older brothers' band, Calle 13, she was instantly saddled with the tongue-in-cheek nickname of PG-13. Now, after touring the world and winning multiple Grammys with the hugely popular band, she's struck out on her, debuting last year with the cheekily titled "iLevitable", a "meticulously crafted album of boleros and mid-tempo, folk-inspired songs that showcase her gorgeously old-school singing" (NPR) that -- surprise, surprise -- won her a Grammy for Best Latin Rock Album earlier this year. Now iLe is bringing her "canciones" to the Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge, where she'll be joined by special guest Gaby Moreno, an award-winning singer-songwriter in her own right who cowrote "Parks and Recreation"'s peppy theme song.
