Egen stil och trevligt mellansnack gjorde upplevelsen väldigt härligt.

Die Ladies haben‘s einfach drauf. Vom ersten Ton an ging das Publikum im ausverkauften Pferdestall voll mit. Baskery hat einen ganz eigenen Sound aus Kontrabass, elektrisch verstärktem Banjo und akustischer/elektrischer Gitarre. Prägend ist der dreistimmige Gesang, mit dem sie die meisten Songs durchgehend veredeln. Da die drei Schwestern sind, verbinden sich ihre Stimmen besonders eng miteinander, ein Effekt, wie man ihn einst bei den Beach Boys oder dem Andrew Sisters hören konnte.
Dazu abwechslungsreiche Songs aus eigener Feder sowie zwei Neil Young Songs (Heart Of Gold und Down By The River) von der bald erscheinenden Tribute CD.
Ein rundum gelungenes Konzert.

The final night of the Baskery UK autumn tour saw the band return to 229 where, in front of a crowd of diehard fans, the band delivered a performance of seismic proportions. Playing a selection of tunes from each of their five studio albums and a couple of classic Neil Young tracks, the band held the audience in rapture from the first note to the last beat. For an encore - as much to their surprise as ours (as a request came out of the blue they felt they couldn't resist)- they played the Slaptones (their former band's) single Please Don't Touch much to the delight of the fans.
HIghlights for me were Down By The River, Big Flo (Adios), Shut The Catflap and A Little Goes A Long Way.
Another tremendous performance from Baskery. Can't wait to see them again. Best live band around.
