About Sugatree
Blending folk, pop and celtic genres with their own unique musical styles, Natalie Parker, Ryan Pentland and Yanni Dellaportas came together as SugaTree to create something new and maybe a little different.
With footstomping guitar and percussion, memorable mandolin hooks, haunting Irish whistle and catchy, heartfelt lyrics - SugaTree performed at wineries, festivals, pubs and bars - entertaining audiences of all ages. In 2013 SugaTree released an EP called Motherland. The CD sold out at gigs within months.
SugaTree released their full length debut album "This Time" at the end of 2017. The sales of the first pressing of the CD soon exceeded all expectations and the online sales continue to sell well. SugaTree recently performed to sold out audiences at the 2018 Port Fairy Folk Festival and the Australian Celtic Festival in May - taking out two awards at the Australian Celtic Music Awards - Best New Celtic Talent and Song of the Year. SugaTree were also invited to perform at the Boorowa Woolfest in September 2018
"The songs on This Time are melodic and pensive, and delivered with so much sincerity that you can't help but be drawn into the music. Beautiful instrumentation and expert arrangements offer just the right backing for the intelligent lyrics and smooth melodies. And the vocal harmonies are out-of-this-world." - babysue.com
